Vishal S. Pandey
I am joining Yeungnam University, South Korea, as an M.S. student in Robotics & AI Convergence under the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) 2026. My program begins with one year of Korean language training followed by two years of graduate research. My research interests lie in reinforcement learning, world models, and core deep learning, with a focus on building efficient, scalable, and interpretable learning systems.
I have contributed to Meta AI's Optimizers by implementing Muon Grafting for the Distributed Shampoo optimizer (co-author on the merged contribution). My research has involved collaborations with Dr. Ranjita Das (NIT Agartala) on the AgroSense projects and with Ruzina Haque Laskar (Scientist-B, C-DOT) on interpretable healthcare AI and precision agriculture. I have also worked with NIT Mizoram and C-DAC on signature verification systems for government datasets, mentoring PG-DAI students in computer vision, and previously spent over a year in enterprise engineering maintaining production database workflows under live deployment constraints.
Open to research collaborations, internships, and full-time opportunities in AI/ML. CV available upon request.
